One of the main catalysts for Crystal to start Align Therapy and Consultation was from her own burnout recovery and prevention process. Coming from a community mental health background where burnout is a given, Crystal knew that she had to create a different path for herself to sustain in this field. She understands burnout very well and continues to tune into ways to support herself and therapists to keep our fire lit!

Everyone at Align specializes in working with complex trauma and attachment injuries. This is where we shine clinically and we use EMDR and/or IFS therapy to get to the core attachment wounding and heal it from the inside out. We understand that therapists often become therapists from their own childhood experiences and likely have attachment injuries to look at. Whether is in therapy, supervision, or consultation, we can help with this.

Everyone at Align specializes in treating trauma from PTSD to CPTSD. We are all EMDR trained, certified, or consultants and all are IFS trained or IFS-Informed. EMDR and IFS are evidenced based treatments for PTSD, and both modalities help you to get to the root of the pain and clear it out. Crystal Hines offers Private Practice Business Coaching for therapists who are starting to take the leap from agency work to entrepreneurship! She has over 10 years of business ownership experience and navigated the pivots that occurred with Covid, and having 3 babies! She shares the lessons she has learned along the way and helps you tap into the wisdom of your inner entrepreneur!

Crystal Hines finished EMDR Basic Training in 2015 and has been obsessed with learning EMDR since then. She began her EMDR journey first as a client, then in community mental health with young kids in schools, and then in private practice honing her skills in working with adults with complex trauma. Crystal became an EMDR Consultant in 2021, and is soon to be an EMDRIA approved Trainer. Every consultant at Align has a polyvagal and IFS informed lens to EMDR.

Crystal Hines was lucky to be trained in IFS in 2018, prior to Covid times. She discovered IFS through meeting her own parts as a client in EMDR. She learned IFS alongside growing in her EMDR expertise and her brain naturally integrates these two models. Crystal became a Level 2 Certified IFS therapist in 2021, and an Approved Clinical Consultant in 2022. Crystal is passionate about bringing more accessible ways of learning IFS to therapists.
